Brushless DC Motors
Machines ranging from simple devices like drills to complex equipment like industrial robots, all use brushless DC motors that convert electrical energy into rotational motion. Brushless DC motors, also referred to as BLDC motors, offer many advantages over their brushed counterparts. BLDC motors provide higher efficiency and require lower maintenance, thereby replacing brushed motors in many applications. BLDC motors are used in a wide range of machines, from simple devices like drills to complex equipment like industrial robots. They operate based on the principle of generating rotational motion through the attraction and repulsion of magnetic poles of permanent electromagnets. They require a complex controller to convert a single DC power to a three-phase voltage. Additionally, this BLDC motor is equipped with a 4-stage planetary gearbox with a reduction of 597:1 and minimum backlash at each stage to ensure smooth and silent operation.
